Art Meets Life Exhibition with SEIBU•SOGO (2019)
SEIBU•SOGO is a major Japanese retailer that continues to be a leading purveyor of contemporary art pieces. In 2019, I’ve spearheaded the curation of its highly-anticipated presentation at Art Fair Tokyo 2019 that rivaled nearby booths by Gagosian and Perrotin. Entitled “Art meets Life,” the sprawling presentation spotlighted large-scale paintings by NYC-based artists Meguru Yamaguchi and FAUST. In addition, an immersive installation by LA-based artist Joshua Vides entitled Seize to Exist was also on display at SEIBU’s space which was the largest of all exhibitors at Japan’s biggest art festival.
